SUBWAY Interceptions

This campaign started with a simple strategic insight: Subway is a better choice compared to other QSRs. The construct of intercepting a competitive order started with Bill Belichick and Deion Sanders during football season. When it continued in the spring, we needed athletes who weren’t tied to seasonal sports. We lucked out with Tony Hawk and Megan Rapinoe. While this campaign was successful in driving better-than-pre-pandemic-sales for Subway, some of the audience still doesn’t know who Tony Hawk is.
